CelcomDigi Berhad (CelcomDigi) has partnered with SoftBank Corp. and Sumitomo Corporation's SC-NEX to accelerate the digitalization of enterprises in Malaysia using innovative Industry 4.0 (IR4.0) solutions.

CelcomDigi will utilize SoftBank and SC-NEX's AI, robotics, and analytics skills via its Innovation Center. CelcomDigi's 4G LTE and 5G network infrastructure will be used to co-create IR4.0 solutions for the agri-tech and smart city industries.
Datuk Idham Nawawi, CelcomDigi's CEO, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “This partnership opens many possibilities for Malaysian enterprises to gain faster access to transformative technologies— and help them to unlock the true potential of their businesses. In the agri-tech sector, drones will be integrated with AI and analytic solutions to improve plantation operations, security and connectivity. Meanwhile, smart cities will explore solutions such as Intelligent Building Management Software (iBMS), IoT sensors, access control, security, and environmental visualization control.

The signing of the agreement was witnessed by the Minister of Communications, YB Fahmi Fadzil, who emphasized the relevance of such collaborations in the advancement of Malaysia's digital landscape.
Through this partnership, CelcomDigi has demonstrated its dedication to the development of a robust digital ecosystem. This ecosystem will provide Malaysian companies with access to innovative technologies that will increase their productivity, business resilience, and sustainability.
