A recent Bugcrowd report, "Inside the Mind of a CISO," revealed that 91% of Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) are concerned about AI threats, and they believe that AI is set to outpace their security teams.

The survey, which included 209 security leaders globally, highlighted that 33% think companies might compromise long-term security for cost savings, while 40% believe few companies fully understand their breach risk.

Despite active recruitment efforts, 70% foresee a reduction in team members due to the impact of AI, with 90% acknowledging AI's superior performance. However, 58% are concerned about AI's potential risks.

Nick McKenzie, Bugcrowd’s CISO, emphasized the evolving role of CISOs and the importance of collaboration with the hacker community to mitigate AI threats.

The report also underscores the growing use of crowdsourced security, with 70% of leaders employing it to test AI defenses and 73% viewing ethical hacking positively.
