On the second day of Huawei Connect 2021, Huawei launched 11 innovative scenario-based solutions to advance digital and intelligent transformation across five industries, namely government, finance, energy, transportation, and manufacturing.

In his keynote speech, Peng Zhongyang, Huawei’s Board Member, President of the Enterprise Business Group shared Huawei’s on-going commitment to dive deep into business solutions to catalyze industry-wide transformation.

Centered around shaping the competitiveness and success of enterprise customers, these 11 solutions focus on scenarios, models, and partners, leveraging ICT innovations to help enterprise customers yield improved quality and operational efficiency, enhance user experiences, and strengthen resilience.

The 11 solutions are assisted operation service, unified urban governance in one network, and zero-trust security for the government sector; smart gas station and intelligent power plant for the energy sector; mobile payments and microfinance and digital core for the finance sector; smart airport, smart air traffic management, and comprehensive transportation for the transportation sector; and intelligent automaker for the manufacturing sector.

At the heart of these solutions is intelligent twin as a cornerstone technology to power intelligent interaction, intelligent connectivity, intelligent hub, and intelligent applications, combining Huawei’s capabilities in digital transformation and partners’ industry know-how to facilitate meaningful change.

Powering transformation across five key industries

Diving into the solutions, Chen Fang Hua, Vice-President of the Enterprise Business Group and Head of Marketing and Sales elaborated on Huawei’s three-pronged approach of focusing on customer scenarios, integration of multiple technologies, as well as synergistic collaborations with partners to solidify Huawei’s status as a key industry digital enabler at the forefront of enterprise solutions to harness business success and create value for the society.

In the energy industry, for instance, the use of license plate recognition at smart gas stations facilitates intelligent one-click refuelling and seamless payments to provide better user experiences, at the same time improving operational efficiency at stations. In smart power plants, one key feature of Huawei’s solution is a unified digital foundation that offers ubiquitous connectivity across diverse devices for customers to expand on existing services, also linking up multiple systems and servers to improve operational efficiency.

In the finance industry, Huawei’s mobile payment and digital core solutions help banks transit from traditional to future-proof models, harnessing the merits of digital infrastructure to enhance customer interaction experience, reduce customer acquisition cost, and improve customer acquisition. In Myanmar, for instance, Huawei has partnered a bank to acquire 8 million users within a year, from an initial base of just 4 million users acquired over a span of a decade, and at a significantly lower acquisition cost. In this context, Huawei led in fostering financial inclusivity for the unbanked and underserved in the country.

Powering autonomous driving in airfields is one such application in the transportation industry, utilizing 5G and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) to significantly reduce accidents and collisions between vehicles and aircrafts.

Continued focus on scenarios, models, and partners to dive into digital

With innovation at its core, Huawei’s new solutions transit from auxiliary systems to core/production systems, building on expertise of ecosystem partners to dive deep into myriad scenarios to address key business issues of industries. These solutions add on to Huawei’s offerings of more than 100 scenario-based industrial solutions. In the next three years, Huawei will continue to ramp up investments to launch more than 200 scenario-based solutions to support digital transformation.

Huawei has also embarked on a new model to provide consultation and operational support to customers navigating their digital journeys. In the next five years, Huawei targets to launch more than 300 tailored service solutions, set more than 200 service standards, and collaborate with more than 800 service solutions partners.

With customer centricity embedded in Huawei’s offerings, Peng emphasized: "Huawei will continue to dive into digital — focusing on scenarios, models, and partners — to help customers succeed in their digital transformation journey. We integrate ICT with real-life scenarios and processes, and develop a new model of consulting, integration, and operational support. We aim to fully understand our customers' needs and vision and then turn them into reality. We encourage partners to shift from acting as channels to becoming competency partners, striving to build a partner system that grows, innovates, and wins together with Huawei."

Concluding day 2 of Huawei Connect 2021, Eric Xu, Rotating Chairman, Huawei stressed that through collaboration with ecosystem partners, Huawei can play a supportive role in reshaping the landscape of verticals, promote overall competitiveness, and accelerate the rise of digital economies.
