ConnecTechAsia 2020 kicked off early this week, incorporating BroadcastAsia, CommunicAsia and NXTAsia to showcase innovative broadcast technologies, state-of-the-art communication services as well as provide an opportunity for industry leaders and business owners to build their network.

Organised in partnership with Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the 3-day virtual event held from the 29th to the 1st of October featured around 200 exhibitors highlighting cutting edge 5G technologies and enterprise solutions.

With the theme, “Empowering the Digital Economy”, the online event was a new experience for attendees and exhibitors alike, many of whom were logging on to the event’s website from different corners of the globe.

The COVID-19 pandemic that began early in the year has forced many industries to find new and inventive ways to maintain the integrity of their operations while still providing quality services to their customers. By migrating these events online, business owners still had the chance to meet and network with their customers and continue to employ their services in an effective way.

Live presentations by delegates and keynote speakers were also made available via watch-on-demand 24/7 for visitors and attendees with different time zones.

Ivan Ferrari, Event Director, Tech, Media & Entertainment Events, Informa Markets said, “The disruption we’re facing today has pushed our community to dramatically accelerate a digital transformation which was already underway. With that same spirit in mind, at ConnecTechAsia we have worked hard on identifying and investing in those exact virtual features that we believe can grant the highest possible return on investments for all attendees, sponsors, speakers and delegates who will dedicate precious time and resources to make this online experience a success. Success is indeed in the agency of others, and we thank our community for trusting our work in these difficult times. Together, we are contributing to shaping the future of our industry.”
