China Broadband Communications (CBC) has appointed Ricky Chau as chief strategy officer. Ricky is responsible for CBC's overall corporate strategy, strategic partnerships and business development, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), reporting to CBC’s CEO Richard Fung.
With over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology industries, Ricky has extensive knowledge of the enterprise and service provider markets. Ricky served as vice president of enterprise business for Asia Pacific and Japan for Lumen Technologies based in Hong Kong before joining CBC. Prior to Lumen, he led the Asia Pacific business at Global Crossing and Level 3. Ricky has been instrumental in driving growth and cultivating extensive business acumen in Asia Pacific.
“Ricky's vast experience in the industry and strategic approach will be invaluable as we move into our next phase of development at CBC. I believe he will help CBC accelerate its growth and become a leading provider of network-as-a-service (NaaS) provider in China and the Asia Pacific,” said Richard Fung.

Ricky holds a doctorate degree in business administration from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an EMBA degree from the University of Ottawa, Canada.
