However, many people in the region lack access to financial services. UnionBank is leveraging Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS to expand digital banking efforts. This platform allows them to build cloud-native applications on a Kubernetes framework, utilizing various AWS services for security-focused and scalable applications. They have integrated electronic "Know Your Customer" (eKYC) capabilities into their mobile app to streamline account opening.
