AI for Threat Detection

The integration of AI-powered Attack Signal Intelligence™ has provided detailed insights that were previously missed, while network detection and response (NDR), combined with CrowdStrike's EDR, has offered complete visibility across network and end-point activities. After implementing Vectra AI's solutions, Globe's incident response time decreased to 3.5 hours, with a 99% reduction in noise and escalations.

Anton Bonifacio, Chief Information Security and Chief AI Officer at Globe Telecom, stated that Vectra's automation and filtering capabilities allowed the team to focus on the most important threats, making their response more efficient and effective. With a clearer understanding of their network activity, Globe Telecom's security team has been able to maintain tighter control over their environment. Additionally, having a comprehensive view of east-west traffic and lateral movement has helped them uncover hidden threats before any damage could occur.

Layered Defense

Aylwin Lam, Regional Director for Vectra AI Asia, emphasized the importance of focusing on urgent threats by having the best possible view of the infrastructure and threats, assessed by severity and impact. As an additional layer of defense, Vectra's MDR (managed detection and response) service has provided round-the-clock support, offering continuous alert management, threat hunting, and expert analysis. This has allowed the Globe Telecom team to focus on high-priority alerts that require immediate action.

Bonifacio highlighted the value of Vectra's MDR service, stating that their threat-hunting expertise has been invaluable in helping secure their environment. A recent report by Vectra AI revealed that many security practitioners in the APAC region believe their organizations may have been compromised due to alert overload.

Bonifacio also praised Globe’s strong relationship with Vectra AI, emphasizing their support during challenging times. Lam concluded by expressing Vectra AI's pride in providing real-time visibility and MDR services to Globe Telecom, helping to eliminate threats and maintain reliable services for their 80 million customers.
