Singtel has unveiled a new initiative aimed at propelling AI development in Singapore and the broader region. In a strategic move, the company is partnering with both global and local ecosystem collaborators across AI, renewable energy, sustainable technologies, and talent development. This aligns with Singtel's concurrent expansion of its regional data center business beyond Singapore, to new markets like Indonesia and Thailand where a new generation of green, sustainable and hyper-connected AI-ready data centers are in the pipeline.

ZTE Corporation, a global leading provider of information and communication technology solutions, has recently been recognized for its leadership in corporate transparency and climate change performance by global environmental non-profit, CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), securing a place on the CDP 2023 'A List.' Based on data reported through CDP's 2023 Climate Change questionnaire, ZTE is one of the 346 companies that achieved an 'A' out of over 21,000 companies scored.

ZTE has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Masyarakat Telematika Indonesia (MASTEL), China Institute of Communications (CIC), and Telkom University to develop digital ecosystems in Indonesia and China. The signing ceremony, witnessed by officials from both countries, symbolizes their commitment to enhancing digital talent through training, research, and career development programs.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been selected as Principal Malaysia’s cloud provider to advance its digital transformation initiatives and improve customer experiences, establishing the investment company as a frontrunner in Malaysia and ASEAN financial services industries.

Telekom Malaysia is reportedly considering constructing a new hyperscale data center to expand its capacity beyond the existing Klang Valley Data Center (KVDC) and Iskandar Puteri Data Center (IPDC). This new facility is expected to have a minimum IT power capacity of 40 Megawatts (MW) and will cater to large cloud service providers and internet companies.

Thailand's five major data center service providers have formed a strategic alliance with the goal of transforming the country into a major data center hub for Southeast Asia. Representatives from the local units of AIMS Data Centre, Evolution DC, NTT Global Data Centers, STT GDC, and Telehouse signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish the Thailand Data Centre Council (TDCC).
