Ericsson and Singapore's M1 have joined forces to implement advanced 5G routers. Ericsson has been chosen by M1, a leading operator in Southeast Asia, to upgrade its 4G/5G mobile transport network with the deployment of the Ericsson Router 6676.
This router is designed to enhance network performance in advanced 4G and 5G networks, providing M1 with the capacity, scalability and responsiveness required for future 5G transport networks.
The Router 6676 is equipped with enhanced processing power, enabling fast convergence in the event of disturbances in the transport network. It also offers resiliency for 5G networks, which are increasingly being deployed in large enterprises such as airports, seaports and factories.
The Router 6676 is part of the Ericsson Router 6000 Series, which is a family of products that integrate radio access networks and service provider SDN-enabled IP transport.
M1 aims to deploy the latest technology in its network to achieve high capacity and significant performance improvements. Ericsson is pleased to extend its partnership with M1 and support their 5G agenda.
M1's Chief Technical Officer, Denis Seek, expressed excitement about the partnership and the potential for delivering higher-quality network performance.
