Telstra, Australia’s largest telco, has partnered with global security company Palo Alto Networks to improve the company’s cybersecurity services for its customers.
Palo Alto Networks is Telstra’s first-ever technology alliance partner dedicated to cybersecurity. Telstra’s technology alliance partners collaborate to develop and offer improved end-to-end services, including connectivity, voice and professional services that assist businesses in addressing challenges.
“Cybersecurity has become one of the top concerns among businesses globally, including here in Australia, and especially in the wake of a number of high-profile cyber breaches. We are now seeing the industrialization of cybercrime, and the scale of threat continues to grow and evolve. As a result, we all need to be constantly changing, adapting and looking at new technologies that can help protect us and our customers’ data. As a leading network, managed and professional services provider, this new alliance between Telstra and Palo Alto Networks further boosts our capabilities to help customers protect their organizations and data from evolving cyber threats,” explained David Burns, Telstra Enterprise Group executive.
This new partnership strengthens the two companies’ relationship and builds on previous agreements between the two, including the additions of both SecureEdge Cloud for business customers and Sovereign SecureEdge for Australia’s government and agencies to Telstra’s SecureEdge portfolio of advanced next-generation cloud-delivered security services.
Steve Manley, regional vice president for Australia and New Zealand, Palo Alto Networks, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, “This new alliance with Telstra reinforces Palo Alto Networks’ position in the Australian market as the premier cybersecurity vendor to Australia’s leading telecommunications carrier. It also reinforces our increased commitment to providing industry-leading joint solutions with one of Australia’s most trusted managed service providers. Together, Palo Alto Networks and Telstra will collaborate to provide businesses with best-of-breed cybersecurity solutions to help keep them safe in a rapidly changing market landscape.”
