Princeton Digital Group (PDG), a data center provider, has recently launched its new hyperscale data center facility called Jakarta Cibitung 2 (JC2) in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. The facility, located in Cibitung, is situated 35 kilometers from Jakarta's Central Business District.

PDG aims to provide secure and scalable data center capacity to hyperscalers and enterprises, including large cloud, content, commerce, AI and fintech companies. The plans for JC2 were announced in 2021, with the initial target of being ready for service by Q4 2022. JC2 is designed to prioritize reliability and scalability. It features energy-efficient modular uninterrupted power systems and highly efficient chiller plants.

The facility has also achieved BCA Green Mark Platinum certification, which recognizes its high-energy performance, resource stewardship, and advanced green efforts. Additionally, JC2 is the first data center campus in Indonesia to offer biomass-powered capacity to its customers. With the launch of JC2, PDG has become one of Indonesia's largest carrier-neutral internet infrastructure operators.

They currently operate six data centers in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung and Pekanbaru. PDG is also in the process of developing a 96-MW campus in Batam as part of its comprehensive SG+ strategy. This strategy aims to provide customers with the ability to seamlessly expand their infrastructure from Singapore to highly scalable data center campuses in Singapore, Batam and Johor.

PDG is committed to achieving Net Zero for its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030. It is also a strong supporter of Indonesia's renewable energy goals. In addition to procuring biomass power, PDG has obtained geothermal energy through renewable energy certificates (RECs) for three of its data centers in Jakarta, Bandung, and Pekanbaru. The company was also the first corporate buyer of state-owned electricity firm PLN's RECs.
