At BATIC 2024, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin) and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) have officially announced a strategic partnership to improve Indonesia's telecommunications infrastructure by developing the Indonesia Cable Express System 2 (ICE System 2).
This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on August 28, 2024, is a significant step towards meeting the growing demand for high-quality connectivity in key regions within Indonesia and beyond.

The ICE System 2 aims to meet the increasing connectivity needs at various landing points in Indonesia, such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Makassar, and Manado, as well as provide important links to Singapore. This system will significantly enhance Indonesia's telecommunications network and improve connectivity quality and efficiency at these crucial locations.
As part of this partnership, the entities intend to expand the infrastructure via an extension that connects the Points of Presence (PoP) of both IOH and Telin with the ICE System 2, strengthening the network's reliability and providing top-tier connectivity in a cost-efficient manner.
