Hitachi Vantara, the subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., has announced its collaboration with Microsoft to launch the Hitachi Unified Compute Platform (UCP) for Azure Stack HCI. This hybrid cloud solution allows businesses to increase agility and improve cloud management across various environments, such as data centers, branch offices and edge computing. It offers greater visibility and control over data storage, management and utilization.

A report from 2022 revealed that over four in five organizations are adopting a hybrid cloud model due to its flexibility in balancing data between public cloud, private cloud and on-premises. However, managing multiple environments can be complex and lead to a lack of integration, limiting a company's ability to extract business value and increasing management costs.

The joint solution combines Azure cloud services with the scalability and flexibility of Hitachi UCP, enabling customers to run workloads consistently across different locations and scale capacity based on business needs. It also utilizes intelligent automation and advanced analytics and provides a single view for easier management of hybrid cloud infrastructure.

The Senior Vice President of Product Management-Storage at Hitachi Vantara, Dan McConnell, stated that the collaboration with Microsoft helps optimize customers' cloud architecture, lower operating costs and improve application and user experiences.

Hitachi's expertise in various industries ensures that customers in sectors like manufacturing, finance, retail and healthcare receive tailored solutions that meet their specific needs and compliance requirements. Hitachi also offers global reach and comprehensive Azure hybrid cloud experiences through its leading supply chain and installation services.

Additionally, Hitachi Vantara has validated two Azure Arc-enabled data services, allowing customers to modernize important applications and deliver cloud services across multiple locations with centralized Azure Arc management.
