During HUAWEI CONNECT 2023, Huawei hosted the first intelligent healthcare summit with the theme "Build a Digital Health Community to Accelerate Intelligent Healthcare." At the summit, Huawei introduced the Digital Medical Technology Solution, which aims to support the healthcare industry in adopting smart technologies.
The General Manager of the Education and Healthcare Industries of Global Public Sector at Huawei, Zhao Yixin, delivered a speech titled “Intelligence Reconstructs Future Healthcare, Innovation Strengthens Digital Health.” In his speech, he emphasized Huawei's commitment to healthcare intelligence and its efforts to overcome digital barriers by developing innovative healthcare solutions for all scenarios.
These solutions aim to facilitate the high-quality development of the healthcare industry. The Huawei Digital Medical Technology Solution is built on cloud computing, big data and AI, and it offers several key features. These include hospital-wide data convergence, multi-protocol and copy-free capabilities, lossless compression, SmartCache 2.0 AI prefetch and video-network collaboration.
With this solution, hospitals worldwide can view over 1,000 images and pathology slices in seconds, saving storage space and equipment room space. It also enables accurate, efficient, and consistent image reading and diagnosis services. The solution has already been successfully implemented in the regional medical imaging platform project of the Longgang District Health Bureau in Shenzhen.
This platform has connected 12 hospitals in the district, allowing them to share medical image data and access imaging reports with just one click. It also enables mutual recognition of examination results across hospitals, making patient care more efficient.
This utilization of data ensures that regional imaging resources are distributed in a more reasonable manner. Huawei remains committed to innovation and investment in the field of intelligent healthcare. Currently, Huawei serves more than 5,000 hospitals and research institutions in over 90 countries and regions, and it has over 3,300 ecosystem partners.
