CelcomDigi has announced that it gained 391,000 subscribers in the first half of the year, bringing its total to 20.48 million since the merger six months ago. The company reported a 0.3% increase in revenue to MYR5.4 billion (US$1.1 billion), driven by its unique value propositions.

EBITDA and profit after tax also grew by 1.8% and 6.5% to MYR2.9 billion and MYR1 billion, respectively, in the first half.

CelcomDigi invested MYR252 million in capex in Q2 to upgrade network capacity and integrate Celcom and Digi's operations. Network integration is 60% complete, and the company plans to modernize over 2,000 cell sites in 24 clusters.

CelcomDigi aims to improve network coverage from 96% to 98%. CEO Datuk Idham Nawawi expressed satisfaction with the company's growth and emphasized the importance of customer focus and improving the network experience.
