ST Telemedia Global Data Centers (STT GDC) Philippines has completed the construction of a new 1.2MW data center in Makati City, located near Manila. The facility is a carrier-neutral hub capable of hosting around 100 racks and can accommodate loads ranging from 5kW to 12kW. Operations will begin this month.

The data center adheres to Tier III standards and incorporates environmentally friendly features such as an energy-efficient ventilation and air conditioning system, rainwater catchment system, and solar panels for electricity generation. Security is also a top priority, with multiple layers of protection ensuring the facility's integrity.

STT GDC Philippines is a joint venture between Globe, Ayala Corporation, and Singapore's STT GDC, a rapidly growing data center provider. The company already operates three data centers in Metro Manila, as well as one each in Cavite and Davao. In June of this year, the company announced plans to expand its data centers in Makati, Cavite and Quezon City by a total of 5.2MW.

Additionally, STT GDC Philippines is in the process of establishing the Fairview, Quezon City Data Center campus, which is expected to be operational in early 2025. The Fairview facility is expected to be the largest, most interconnected, sustainable, and carrier-neutral data center campus in the country, with a capacity of 124MW.
