A Sectoral First

The GSMA developed the RAI Maturity Roadmap to address the increasing role of AI in the telecom industry. This initiative marks the first time an entire sector has united under a shared framework for responsible AI.

Globe Telecom is one of 19 mobile network operators globally that have adopted the GSMA’s roadmap to monitor, manage, and enhance the responsible use of AI.

The roadmap, developed with insights from McKinsey and a group of top operators, offers a structured framework for telecom companies to evaluate their current AI maturity and pinpoint areas for improvement. This enables operators to align their AI strategies with ethical practices, ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI-driven applications.

The roadmap covers five key dimensions: a company’s vision, values, and strategic objectives; its operating model and AI governance; technical controls to ensure regulatory compliance; collaboration with third-party ecosystems; and corporate change management and communication strategies.
