Interesting Development: CelcomDigi, U Mobile Vie for Malaysia's Second 5G Network

As 5G traffic increases, a single network may not be enough to handle growing consumer demand. Malaysia boasted around 13.2 million 5G subscribers at the end of April 2024, thus, two 5G networks will allow service providers to build resilience and not over-depend on one network.

This will help drive Malaysia's digital transformation, improving connectivity, innovation, and economic growth across different sectors, according to TM.
